WARRANTY INFORMATION

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY


MERIT SEATING, Inc. warrants its products to the original retail purchaser against failure due to defects in material and workmanship as follows:
  • Lifetime on pneumatic cylinders.
  • Lifetime on seat foam against a greater than 5% compression set.
  • Five(5) years on chair control mechanisms.
  • Five (5) years on bases, casters and glides.
  • Fifteen (15) years on fabricated chair frames against structural failure. (side chair frames)
  • Three (3) years on upholstery fabric against unusual wear or deterioration. Customers own material or customer specified material is not warranted.
  • Five (5) years on all other component parts.


All warranties are limited to products utilized in normal commercial usage defined as single shift use for a standard forty (40) hour work week by persons weighing 250 pounds or less.

When usage is more than 40 hours per week, a two-year warranty on all parts applies.

UPON RECEIPT OF DATED PROOF OF PURCHASE AND PROOF OF THE DEFECT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY, MERIT SEATING WILL, AT IT'S OPTION, REPAIR OR REPLACE DEFECTIVE PARTS AT MERIT SEATING'S PLACE OF BUSINESS IN TEMPLE, TEXAS.

THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES BEYOND THOSE SET FORTH ABOVE. ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE DISCLAIMED.

THE FOREGOING WARRANTY AND THE RIGHTS PROVIDED THEREUNDER ARE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY PROVIDED TO PURCHASER. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL OTHER REMEDIES AND DAMAGES ARE EXPRESSLY DENIED AND MERIT SEATING, INC. IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.



HOW TO PROTECT YOUR WARRANTY


Keep all paperwork that accompanies the chair in the carton.

This will give us the information we need to get your chair serviced. Without proof of purchase, your warranty is null and void.

Service of the warranty is through Merit Seating or an authorized Merit Seating service center.

Merit Seating does not warrant chairs that have been repaired by unauthorized service centers.


CLAIMING WARRANTY PROTECTION


E-Mail customer support customersupport@meritseating.com the following information:
  1. Order date and order number (this will appear on your invoice)
  2. Briefly explain the problem with your chair
  3. Make sure to include you e-mail address and phone number so we can relay important information back to you.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY IN THE WARRANTY PROCESS


Chair must be shipped freight paid or personally delivered to an authorized Merit Service Center. If chair is to be shipped, please package to minimize damage. Merit Seating will provide you with the location(s) of the nearest service center.

You will be notified by the service center if the chair is not under warranty. You will be responsible for all non-warranty repairs.



MERIT SEATING'S RESPONSIBILITY IN THE WARRANTY PROCESS


The product will be inspected at one of our service centers.

It will be repaired or replaced if defects are found to have occurred in
materials or workmanship. You will be given a repair estimate prior to commencement of repairs if the chair is no longer under the warranty because of abuse, neglect, improper packaging, etc.,


Merit Seating takes our responsibility to our customers seriously. We want your product to perform the tasks it was designed for to your satisfaction.

Chairs are mechanical components that will eventually wear out. Through no fault of design, no failure of components and through continued use, a chair has a useful lifetime.

Take care of your chair. Only perform functions for which the chair is designed.
